Welcome to AmericansWe! A look into the charm of American style and its inextricable links to 21st c. Western fashion. A site dedicated to the American spirit. To develop an understanding of present day fashion and its historical narrative – and the rapid transformations that shape its nature, whether it be elusive and beautiful, restricted and simple, bold and unabashed, casual and fancy-free. The cultural revolutions and artistic movements that have influenced our style, expression, and idea of individuality.

This is AmericansWe.

That’s me above!* Erik helped me to set this amazing site up. He is the graphics and type guru (also my super sweet boyfriend) who helps me with all this confusing computer stuff. I am still figuring out how to use wordpress but I will add new features as I get more used to the formatting.

I grew up traveling the states from coastline to skyline drawing inspiration from the places I landed and all the people I met along the way. I work for an incredible vintage boutique which I promise to tell you much more about soon. I have a very fat cat and an addiction to deliciously sweet things. My parents epitomize classic American chic – my dad a naval officer and my mother a cool flowerchild taken by a charming and wide-eyed man. All very Fitzgerald – with a twist of 60s glamour & post-war decadence. I have a feeling this would make a great spread in Vogue. Hope you enjoy the twists and turns along the way. Lots more to come!
